Attire & Essentials
What should I wear?
Think elevated, breezy, and comfortable. Lightweight fabrics like linen and cotton are perfect for the beach setting. Men can wear linen pants or chinos with a button-up or guayabera, no jacket needed. Women might opt for a sundress, maxi dress, or stylish romper paired with dressy sandals or wedges. Leave the stilettos and stuffiness at home, comfort and style are key.
Are shorts allowed? Can I go barefoot for the ceremony?
Yes to both! Dressy shorts (think tailored, not cargo) are totally fine. And if you’d rather feel the sand between your toes during the ceremony, go for it.
Can I wear white?
We politely ask that guests steer clear of white. If you forget, a carefully selected bridesmaid may just happen to have a glass of red wine with a loose grip. You’ve been warned, lovingly, of course.
Should I bring sunglasses?
Absolutely. Shade your eyes! We fully support stylish specs during the ceremony.
Travel & Transportation
Do I need a rental car?
Once you’re in Clearwater Beach, most things are walkable and Ubers are plentiful and affordable. That said, a rental car does give you more flexibility if you’re planning to explore beyond the beach.
What if I miss the trolley?
No worries, just hop in an Uber and head to:
1091 Eldorado Ave, Clearwater, FL 33767
We’ll save you a seat.
Weather & Contingency Plans
What happens if it rains?
We’ve got a backup plan just in case! If the beach ceremony is rained out, we’ll move everything to the aquarium with a slightly later start time. You’ll receive a text with any changes the morning of the wedding, so keep your phones handy (but not during the ceremony).
Food, Drink & Festivities
Is it open bar?
Yes! We’ve set up a generous tab at the bar. If by some miracle it runs out, the bar will transition to cash. But we think we’ve got you covered. Cheers!
Are there vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options for dinner?
Yes indeed! All entrées are already gluten-free, the salad can be made GF easily, and we have a delicious cauliflower steak option for our vegetarian and vegan guests.
Is there anything being organized for Thanksgiving?
There might be some bonus fun in the works. Stay tuned—details coming soon.
Guests, Plus-Ones & Kiddos
Is this kid-friendly?
Super duper kid-friendly. We’ve planned the day with families in mind, and we’re thrilled to have little ones there to celebrate with us.
Can I bring a plus one?
If you were given a plus one, you’ll see that option when you RSVP. If you don’t see it but really want to bring someone, just reach out to Julia or Luke and we’ll see what we can do.
Ceremony & Venue
How long will the ceremony last?
Plan for about 30 to 45 minutes, just long enough to feel meaningful, not long enough to sunburn.
Will there be restrooms at the beach?
Nope, so we recommend taking a restroom break ahead of time or at the aquarium before boarding the trolleys.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We’re having an unplugged ceremony. Please keep your phones and cameras tucked away and be fully present with us. We’ve hired an amazing photographer to capture the day, and we’ll be excited to share those memories with you afterward!
RSVP & Misc.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by October 26th. After that, we go into full-on seating chart panic mode and can’t make any promises.
